Looking for the
Right Financial Advisor?
It’s not easy, is it?
Most advisors use fancy terms for one purpose: to make you feel confused.
But that is not us!
Look, it’s confusing out there, I know. All you want is an experienced advisor who direct you to the planning strategies that will help you the most.
One that will help put you in control of your financial dreams.
If that sounds good to you, then we “might” fit well together.
I say “might” because we aren’t a good fit for everyone we meet, and that’s okay.
You might be asking, what does a typical client look like who works with us?
Let me summarize, and oh, if you can relate to what our client’s look like, feel free to reach out for what I call a “Strategy Session.”
This quick call is as much for us to get to know you as it is for you to get to know us. An opportunity to see if we share the same philosophies about investing.
What I call “Real Financial Planning”
Over the past 32 years, I’ve been fortunate to work with some incredible clients.
While every one is unique, they have their own story, and their circumstances are different, it’s also amazing how many things they have in common as well, the similarities if you will.
A few common traits our clients have:
We have two main categories or what I call groups, see if you have some of the same similarities with one of them:
We call our first group the “Experienced Group.”
These experienced clients are either currently retired or they are 5 to 10 years away from retirement.
They are in what I call the “danger zone” where keeping their money safe from losses is paramount in their situation.
For the most part, they are “conservative” investors protecting their nest egg.
They tend to be looking for ways to generate income, without out all the risk, in order to enjoy the life they have built for many years to come.
In a nutshell – They have a pile of money and they want to keep that pile of money and have enough income to last the rest of their lives.
This group is not watching the market news hour by hour as market volatility does not interfere with their overall plan.
Our experienced clients would prefer, as Will Rogers said, “a return of their money, then a return on their money.”
Finally, the have come to realize that life is about family, community, and enjoying every single day.
Our second category we call the “Creators Group.”
This group of clients are in the wealth creation process.
They are often times business owners, medical professionals, and have successful careers, or are on the path to success.
They have money to save and invest and want to preserve what they’ve worked so hard to earn.
They are looking for strategies that are not taught using traditional financial planning methods.
They like out-of-the-box thinking and out-of-the-box approaches to building wealth.
They typically aren’t big risk takers, but like to take advantage of investment opportunities when they come along.
They like tax-advantages and tax-reduction strategies incorporated into their planning as well.
Now that you’ve seen what many of our clients have in common.
Let me tell you what a typical client we work with does NOT look like:
Our clients do not call because a friend told them about a hot investment tip, or something they heard at the barber shop or beauty salon.
Our clients do not don’t consider a clip on the news or the guy on “Mad Money” banging buzzers and bells as sound investment advice.
Our clients do not bounce around from one idea to the other, chasing after return, and end up getting nowhere.
How We Interact With Our Clients:
I love how technology has made our lives much more efficient.
I try to communicate with clients using all kinds of technology – email being my preference.
I use videos, podcasts, and articles, to keep my clients updated and informed.
It’s my overall objective to give you the tools and knowledge you need to be your own best advisor.
My experience shows that the more educated, empowered, and knowledgeable you are, the better financial decisions you’ll make.
We have clients located all across the United States. We work with them virtually and it is extremely productive.
You don’t have to fight traffic, nor take half your day, just to have a meeting together.
Skype, video conferencing, phone, email, and webinars are all ways we can communicate together.
We can meet from the comfort of your home, using your phone and computer.
The internet has made us all neighbors!
We’ll put your needs first and tend to respond quickly to questions or concerns that you have.
I should probably say that if you feel like you need constantly reassurance and you worry about every bit of news, then we may not be a good fit for you.
I like to have conversations with a distinct purpose and goal in mind. This way we accomplish much more and keeps us on track.
Those kinds of calls are massively beneficial.
If this sounds like something you’ve been looking for, then let’s have an initial “strategy session” together. That will tell both of if we are a good fit and if we want to continue our conversations.
I like to say that the objective of our first meeting, is to see if we are going to have a second one.
Our Commitment To Clients
Of paramount importance to me, is your education, understanding, and willingness to help steer your financial ship.
As with anything good, this type of planning doesn’t take place in one day. It takes thought, patience, and a solid plan to create the future you want.
We have structured our business model to give our clients the personal and individualized attention, education, and support they need.
We work hard to improve each day.
My promise to you is that I will take my decades of research and experience to find the ideas and strategies that will work best for you.
As I mentioned, we use technology. We have virtual meeting programs that allow us to connect anytime, day or night.
If you have not had the opportunity to work with someone virtually you may be pleasantly surprised what a time saver it can be, as well as simple, effective, and enjoyable.
Your Next Step
Taking financial control is all about the next step, then the next one, and the next one and before you know, you’ve really gotten somewhere.
Now that you know a bit about us, and how we work, and what kind of clients work best with us, if you would like to talk more, I’d love to invest about 30 minutes getting to know your financial situation.
And if for some reasons we don’t seem to be a good fit, I’ll be upfront and tell you right away, and you should do the same.
I try to do all the initial calls myself whether on the phone or by video conference. It’s not always possible, and if I can’t make the call personally, I have a great group of advisors that are extremely capable who will.
